Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy πŸ’…πŸ»

When I first saw these in the shops I was dying to try them but thought they were a bit pricey at Β£6.99 each.

I nearly bought them on offer for two for Β£10 but forgot and then the next day they were on 3 for 2 with a free nail varnish as well, so in the end I got four varnishes (three colours and a top coat) for Β£13.98 so I was glad I waited in the end!

I bought a baby pink called Cardshark no.100, a purple colour called Hold Em no.460 and a coral called Pocket Aces no.130.

The top coat is in a black bottle and is no.010.

I used the baby pink on my fingers and the coral on my toes.

The coral only needed one coat on my toes and it came out very bright. The brush isn’t very good for toes and I had to redo a couple but it’s had good staying power so far and I’ve had it on a week!

The brush is much better for the fingers and went on fine. It needed two coats and took a while to dry. When I thought it was dry I put the top coat on which also took a while and I obviously didn’t leave it long enough to dry properly as it chipped slightly on the edge of a couple of nails within an hour or so and I dented a couple by going about my usual business. So I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re in a rush!

It’s quite shiny but the gel effect doesn’t last very long and it has gone quite dull after a few days.

Overall I expected more from this product to be honest – it says it is long wear but it didn’t last as long as I hoped but it probably lasts longer than regular varnish.

I will only use it if I have an hour or so overall to do it properly and let it dry!
