Superdrug Makeup Revolution Haul

Makeup revolution haul

I love a good haul and even better when you can do it from the comfort of your own home and get it delivered! I was so excited when this baby came in the post.

I recently discovered Makeup Revolution and after looking on their website decided to order from Superdrug as Beauty Card Holders get free delivery plus beauty points.

Superdrug were also doing a promotion where you received a free makeup bag when you bought £15 worth of makeup so it was a win win all round!

There was SO much I wanted from Makeup Revolution but I limited my order to about £20 using much self restraint! Here’s what I got…

Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Blusher in Peachy Keen

Blushing Hearts Baked Blusher Peachy Keen

I have seen this featured on so many blogs and fell in love with the packaging alone so I just had to try it out!

The box alone is so pretty and the colours are just beautiful.

It is apparently a good dupe for Too Faced Sweethearts Blush in Peach Beach and it does look identical! Although I have never used Too Faced so I wouldn’t know how the actual product compares.

I haven’t used this yet but I am dying to give it a go! It has three separate colours – a bronze, a pink and an orange gold. I imagine you can use them separately or all together for a highlight with a pop of colour.

I will let you know my results once I’ve tried it!

When I first tried to get this it was sold out and I had to put my email address in to be notified when it was back in stock, now at the time of writing this its out of stock again! So you know its popular! Nevertheless the link is here and for £4.99 its literally a quarter of the price of the Too Faced version.

Lip Geek Lipsticks x2

Lipstick Geeks

I got these in Dream About Success (the orangey one) and Baby Doll (the pinky one).

Both colours are so lovely as you can see from my swatch.

Lipstick Geeks Swatch

They didn’t apply as creamy as I hoped but they seem to apply a lot of colour with minimal application.

I love love love the packaging its pink and shiny which is right up my street so even if I don’t use them much they will look beautiful sitting in my lipstick stand! Especially for £1.99 each they are a bargain! Buy it here.

Ultra Sculpt & Contour Kit in Ultra Fair C01

Ultra Sculpt and Contour Kit

I got the Ultra fair as I am very fair skinned and the darker one looked too dark for my skin tone.

I tried this and the bronzer is pigmented you only need a tiny bit, but I found it was a bit muddy looking so I need to play around with the colouring to get the perfect balance but I will persevere because only at £3.50 you really can’t argue with that! The highlighter is so lovely I’m so pleased with it – even just for the highlighter I love it! The blush provides a lovely subtle colour too. Definitely worth the money! Buy it here.

Pro Contour Brush

I got this to try with my above contour kit as it has a shape perfect for contouring. At the moment I use a normal blusher brush so I was hoping this brush will help me really see some definition.

I used it when I applied the above contour kit and it really did give good definition – I am converted and will use this whenever I confirm and highlight!

At £3.50 its an amazing price for such a professional shaped brush and it can be found here.

Pro Hygiene Anti Bacterial Brush Cleaner

Pro Hygiene Anti Bacterial Brush Cleaner

I try to clean at least my foundation brush with a quick cleanser after every use and give it a deep clean with water and soap (blog post on my routine coming soon) to get rid of any anti bacterial lurking on the surface as best I can in between deep cleans.

This spray seems perfect for the job it smells nice and gets quite a bit of makeup off but requires a fair few sprays, having said that it is a big bottle so may last me a while.

For £5 a quite big bottle of 200ml its cheaper than a lot of makeup cleaners I’ve seen on the market. Buy it here.

#Makeup neoprene makeup bag

#makeup bag

This was my free gift from Superdrug. It looks quite nice considering its neoprene and is a decent size for a freebie. It’s flexible material means I can probably fit a fair bit inside as well.

Not bad for a freebie considering I was spending that much anyway.

Has anyone else tried Makeup Revolution? What do you think about these products? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Hey, I’ve nominated you for the Liebster Awards because I think your blog is awesome and that other people should check it out!
You can read more about it on my blog (it’s my latest post right now but if I post something else it should be pretty easy to find!)
