October favourites

octoberfav

Its favourites time once again! I say this every month but I honestly can’t believe how fast October has come and gone!! It’s been such a busy month for me I had my dance show weekend and I also went to New York so it’s been super hectic.

Here are the things I’ve been loving this month that have kept me going during my busy month.

Makeup Revolution Iconic 2 Palette

Ignore the hideous chunk out of one of the shades I was so gutted when that happened – I tried to open it and for some reason gave too much force and ended up gauging some out with with my finger! Makeup problems! Any who I have a full review of this coming soon so watch this space but it definitely has to be included in my October faves as I’ve used it so much this month and it has amazing staying power for the price of £4!!

Real Techniques Eye Brush Starter Set

Again I will be doing a full review of this and this also re;ates with the above as I’ve been using these brushes to apply the MR Palette and they blend like a dream! Definitely worth investing in a set of good eye shadow brushes as these are all you’ll need.

Lush Mask of Magnaminty

I love love love this mask! I love how it feels cold when you apply it even though you don’t need to keep it in the fridge. It smells amazing and remains that way all the way through. I love how it hardens over time (I was advised to leave it on for 20 minutes) and it really feels like it’s freshening your skin. It has gentle exfoliating scrub in as well which are not harsh on the skin at all.  It’s so refreshing and it has helped my spot prone skin.

MAC Frost Lipstick in Odyssey

I bought this lippy in NY and I’ve practically used it everyday since I love it! It’s such a gorgeous shade of plum with a subtle shimmer that’s buildable so you can wear it as dark or as subtle as you want! This is definitely my new lipstick obsession at the moment and perfect for the season.

Eyelure Brow Control & Shape Gel

This little wanded tube glides on effortlessly and creates the perfect shape first time without leaving any residue which I have noticed from other brands. At around £6 ish this is a total bargain and better than any drug store makeup branded brow gel I’ve tried!

Mark Hill Anti-humidity spray

I know this looks like a summer holiday thing but hear me out – this gem has been perfect for the damp autumn days which reak real havoc with frizzy hair such as mine. A good spritz round the head before leaving the house really holds the hair in place. I’m very impressed with this invention and I will keep restocking my cupboards with this!

Dream a little dream by Giovanna Fletcher

I’ve had this since it came out but only just got round to reading it on the plane this month and I so wish I’ve started sooner!

I love Giovanna’s writing style she really makes you fall in love with the characters and follow them on their journey even without providing huge cliff hangers it makes you want to keep reading.

I’m still working on this but definitely want to finish in time to read her Dream a little Christmas Dream short Christmas story she has published for the holidays as her last Christmas story, Christmas with Billy and Me was magical!

This story follows a woman after her break up and the dreams that she keeps having have potential to become a reality. Not cheesey at all totally relate-able and so finny! She really hits the nail on the head about life in London and England too.

I would definitely recommend to anyone that loves a good funny chick flick (can I say flick about a book?! You know what I mean anyway!)

What have you been loving this October? Have you tried any of my faves?

Thanks for reading!
