This book is an absolutely wonderful read! I bought this when it first came out over summer fully intending to read it ASAP but time got the better of me and I didn’t end up reading it until last month!
I started it on the plane to New York, read it on the plane back and then read a couple of chapters each night before bed.
It’s hard to put down because Giovanna really makes you love the characters and feel their emotions along with them. It grips you for this reason and you really want to keep reading to find out what happens next!
In short summary the book is about a woman named Sarah whose long term boyfriend finishes with her for another woman but he is part of her friendship group so she still has to see him all the time – awkward! She begins to have recurring dreams about a boy she used to know and he happens to walk into her life.
The story is about her struggles with coming to terms with life in London and her job and wanting the dreams she has to turn into reality!
It’s funny and sad and happy at the same time. Giovanna really hits the nail on the head about life in London and England in general really with her references.
The only thing I wanted at the end was to know a bit more!! But her short story Dream a Little Christmas Dream is out now so I am hoping my unanswered questions can be found in there.
I’ve only read one of her stories before – Christmas with Billy and and Me which follows on from Billy and Me which I haven’t read – which was absolutely lovely and very Christmassy so I can’t wait to read this years short Christmas story and get into the festive spirit.
She has also published You’re the One that I Want which, along with Billy and Me, is next on my list of books to read!
This book is definitely worth a read because it’s so lovely and enjoyable!
Has anyone else ready Dream a Little Dream yet? What did you think? Let me know below!
Thanks for reading!
