So for anyone that has been reading my posts lately will know I haven’t been to pleased with the latest offerings from Birchbox but I have to say this time they have redeemed themselves!
I kept saying that I would wait until the December box to see if it was festive enough for me and it seems to have delivered just that!
Not to mention the glitzy bag that comes in place of the Birchbox that you can actually use as a clutch bag.
Here’s what I got in my box –
This is quite nice and good for the Christmas season but my only qualm is the flap is dark green and not black I think I would have liked it more if it was black! A very nice idea from Birchbox though and something different than the usual box.
I love the packaging of this little duo – the liner is for the party and the puff off is for the next day – they’ve packaged it perfectly for the festive period and the parties that come with it!
They’re Real Push up gel liner
I’ve always wanted to try this liner without paying the full price for it so I was pleased I got this in my box.
You just push up the gel just below the tip to push the gel out and it does glide on so easily but this is only on my hand so I will see how the lash hugging shape works on the eyes!
Puff Off Eye Gel
I always need something to help with puffy bags so I am excited to give this one a go.
Models Own Lipstick
This is a full size red lipstick in shade Stiletto. I love red lips especially for the festive season and I haven’t ever tried a Models Own lipstick so this is definitely a welcome edition to my lipstick collection.
You can see from below it’s really pigmented and quite creamy for a red lip.
Embryolisse Nourishing Moisturiser
This is a tiny sample and this packaging looks a bit boring so I wasn’t very excited for this but I guess winter makes your skin dry so moisturiser is always welcomed at this time of year.
Skin & Co Sicilian Body Gel
You may have guessed that unless its lush shower gels bore me. Usually I love anything orange fragrance but I had to take the lid off to smell this and even then it was very very faint.
Catherine Malandrino Style de Paris perfume
Usually I welcome perfume samples because they’re great for the handbag and nights out. But this packaging is super boring and it looks cheap and tacky. It also doesn’t smell too great and it’s a bit old for me I just gave it to my mum!
Ciate Mini in Blizzard
The best til last! Nothing screams Christmas festivities than glitter and this hits the spot nicely. I love love this colour its a dark gold with lighter gold specks. I love Ciate as a brand and I don’t have very many so I’m very excited to have this in my collection.
So I feel Birchbox have upped their game this month and I am very pleased that it’s festive and christmas related.
What did you get in your Birchbox this month? Let me know what you thought of the December box below!
