Ellie Goulding x MAC Lipstick

I love MACs collaborations and when I heard about this one I was excited to see the range. I’m a sucker for a MAC lipstick so it had to be this that I got from the collab!

I think the designs on the lipsticks are always more collab orientated whereas other items are not as obviously part of the range. So I got one of two lipsticks in “Only you”.

I love Ellie Goulding – her voice is amazing and her songs are always a feel good tune to belt out too! Plus she’s gorgeous! It’s great to see a UK artist do a collab with a worldwide cosmetics company too.

How amazing is the packaging?! Ellie’s design of her E and G are merged into a circle inside a triangle that spills across two sides of the packaging.

The lipstick tube is a gorgeous shiny black opposed to the usual matte finish. It has the gorgeous gold logo on which really sets it apart from the standard MAC lipsticks.

The EG logo is branded on the bullet and it looks so beautiful! I almost didn’t want to use it but it would be silly to spend that much on a lipstick and never use it!

It’s a creme sheen lipstick so it has a shiny finish. The colour isn’t very pigmented so you need a couple of coats and it isn’t tooΒ long lasting.

The colour I would say is a dusky pink even though it does look a bit corally in the photo it was hard to take one that does it justice! It’s perfect for a day time look or to wear in the office.

All in all I do like this lipstick although it isn’t my fave colour or finish.

Have you tried this or anything else from Ellie x MAC? Let me know below!
