Makeup Revolution are a modern budget makeup brand that provides many products to rival those of the high end and this palette is no exception.
The Iconic 2 palette is supposedly a good dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. Now I’ve never tried the UD Naked 2 palette because I don’t have a spare £40 odd quid to spend on eye shadows. However I am more than happy to spend a tenth of that and get a dupe for £4, but does it live up to it?
In terms of the packaging I have to say it is obviously nowhere near as pretty or sturdy as the UD packaging. It’s very plastic and basic but for me that doesn’t matter as I still think it has a nice modern effective look. Packaging isn’t everything!
The MR palette has 12 shades as does the UD palette and looking at pictures of both they seem to match up colour for colour.
It comes with a two end sponge applicator as opposed to the big brush that comes with the UD palette but again this doesn’t bother me as I can just use a different brush such as the Real Techniques shadow brushes.
What is the performance like I hear you ask? It has mega staying power and I’ve worn it for over 12 hours a day with only a little crease appearing towards the end of the day. It blends super well and you can create so many looks with the many different shades you get in the palette.
For £4 it’s an absolute dream not to mention a mega bargain! Everyone needs this palette in their collection. Who needs to pay 10x more for a palette that performs just as well!?
Has anyone else tried this palette? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
