Spring has finally sprung and the sun has shown it’s face here in the UK. When a new season arrives it’s always a great opportunity to switch up the makeup routine. For spring I always think pastels and soft pinks and find that these colours really represent the season.
My spring switch up looks something like this –
Perfumes I love changing for the season and spring calls for something fresh, enter Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream! I love Daisy and all the different versions that MJ has released but I find myself reaching for this one the most in spring.
Blushers definitely change for me in spring. For pinks I love this No7 Pop and Glow Cream Blush Stick in Classic Rose as it’s super easy to slide on the face and leaves a lovely warm colour to the cheeks.
This Sleek Rose Gold Blush however is my ultimate fave as it’s just so gorgeous! The flecks of gold in the rose coloured blush give you a glow without being glittery and you don’t need a highlight with this bad boy it does it all for you!
Pastel nail varnishes are my go to spring choice and these are perfect for the job – Rimmel 60 Seconds in Breakfast in Bed is a gorgeous glimmery mint and Barry M Speed Dry in Freestyle is a fast drying pastel rose pink.
Lip colour choices are pinks and nudes for me in spring. The rose gold goodness here is Rose Huntington Whitely for Marks and Spencer in Silk Cami and is a gorgeous pink hued nude that has a matte effect.
Bourjous Rouge Edition Velvet in No. 10 is a gorgeous matte liquid lipstick that has amazing staying power and the colour is so gorgeous. The two used together actually creates a gorgeous ultimate spring look.
My foundation doesn’t really change until summer time when I opt or more lighter choices (feel not colour!) although I have begun to reach for foundations containing SPF more as the sun begins to shine a bit more allowing lovely strolls outside!
