I love a good smoothie as a post workout snack or breakfast and they’re such a great way to ensure you get fruit inside you which has many benefits to your health.
Now that summer is looming I have the perfect recipe for you- a smoothie that tastes just like a pina colada without the alcohol!
What you’ll need-
4. Milk (I use almond)
5. Coconut water
Optional- banana protein powder
I can get all of these from Asda but they are very likely all available at most supermarkets!
You will also need a blender – I use a Breville one as I can make big batches but any will do. I still sometimes use my Blend Active and always transfer from my Breville into the Blend Active cups as they’re great for on the go.
What to do –
Peel your banana and break into pieces and pop in the blender
Cut your pineapple into two thick slices, cut off the edges and slice into chunks (like so below) and throw into the blender (obvs don’t be violent, you know what I mean 😉 )
Cut about half your mango up (you can never get much off a mango due to the stone being huge), ensuring you slice the skin off too and pop into the blender
Pour in equal parts almond milk and coconut water until all of the liquid is about at the top of the fruit
Throw in the ice cubes and two scoops (about 30grams) of protein powder if using and blend
It should look a gorgeous yellow and taste just like a pina colada without the alcohol!
