If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you will already know I have a bit of a love affair with Makeup Revolution and their purse friendly quality products.
The blushers I’ve tried from the brand so far I’ve been really impressed with so I was really excited to try their blush palettes. Who doesn’t love a good palette? Let’s face it, we all do!
Today I’m showing you this gorgeous Sugar and Spice Blush Palette with swatches and a review!
This was featured in one of my many MR hauls here and I just love the packaging, the simplistic black makes it look so modern and the blushers provide such amazing pops of colour.
You’ve got 6 matte blushers and 2 baked ones in a variety of colours ranging from pinks to oranges to nudes, although I can’t find any names of the shades (please let me know where to look if there is any!)
Here are the swatches –
This is the top line with the nude brown, nude with more orange tones, a deep pink and a very light pink highlight colour.
This is the bottom row with a rose pink, a bright pink, an orange and a baked soft pink.
So performance wise these are not too pigmented when you use a big fluffy brush such as the Real Techniques Blusher Brush but if you use a more dense concentrated one such as the Spectrum C03 Tulip Powder Brush you can get far with a little powder.
Tip for you all – do not use the baby pink baked blush as a highlighter it does not look good (I learned that the hard way!) but it would be fab as an all over blush for a summer night out.
I love that this palette has so much choice of colour and finish and it would be great to take away with you because you can choose whatever you like depending on your mood/outfit!
At £6 for the palette that’s less than £1 each per blush and the packaging makes it look much more expensive than that in my opinion.
Has anyone else tried this palette? What did you think? Let me know below!
