So as you guys know by now as the name of my blog suggests I don’t go spending a lot of money on individual makeup products, so for me to get some high end things is a real treat. I recently attended a charity event for work where there were huge amounts of beauty products available for half the retail price with all money being donated to charity.
There wasn’t much choice in terms of colour etc. but nonetheless I was in absolute heaven and I went a little crazy but got I lots of fab makeup for a fraction of the price! I picked up products from Nars, Bobbi Brown, Benefit, Urban Decay, Smashbox and Too Faced.
I’ve wanted to get my hands on Nars for SO so long so I was thrilled to bag some staple products the brand has to offer.
Starting off with the Foundation. First of all the packaging is just something else! I love the frosted bottle with the Nars logo plastered across it. I picked up the All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in shade Light 3. It seems quite watery and is a rather pale colour so I will save it for winter when my skin is even paler than it is now (it is actually possible) so for now I will just bask in its prettiness.
Next up the lipstick in shade Rosecliff. This is a nude dusky pink so I will save it for the autumn months before giving it a go.
This Blusher is just an absolute dream! It’s in shade Impassioned and I’ve wanted it ever since I set my eyes on it so this was definitely one of the favourite things I picked up. It’s a baby / dusky pink which is quite subtle but noticeable.
The dual intensity blush duo in Frenzy is super bright and screams summer makeup look to me so I cannot wait to give this a go!
This is a brand I’ve always thought was nice but was never too fussed by it but when I saw these things I knew I had to have them!
The smokey eye mascara has gorgeous packaging and the wand looks like it will really separate lashes.
This Art Stick is a jumbo lip pencil and comes with it’s very own pencil sharpener! This is in shade Harlow Red.
This Lip Colour lipstick in shade Nude is a gorgeous red brown. As both lip colours are more autumn winter appropriate I will wait to give these a go.
I have a few Benefit minis now and I do love their collection so I was happy to pick up a couple of my faves in full size!
I’ve been loving the Hoola bronzer recently since trying it out in miniature version and have always wanted the full size as the packaging is so gorgeous.
They’re Real Tinted Primer is a fab product for mastering lashes and I’ve loved the sample size of this so much I had to get a big one!
I own a few things from Too Faced and I am in love with their beautiful packaging so I am always eager to add to my small collection.
Every blogger and their dog has tried this highly regarded Better Than Sex mascara so I cannot wait to try this one! Not to mention the amazing box it came in!
This is the first thing I’ve owned from this brand but I have heard very good things.
This Bronze Lights Warm Matte bronzer is a huge pan size and will last me ages and it’s perfect for contour due to it’s matte finish.
Last but by no means least, this baby is so incredibly beautiful I can’t quite get over it! The Afterglow Highlighter in Fireball is so pretty and perfect for a warm summer glow!
I could just look at this all day long! It’s a peachy pink with iridescent shimmer within and it’s so finely milled.
So that’s my exciting haul of high end makeup and as it doesn’t happen very often I’m so chuffed with all I got.
