I don’t know about you, but my handbag is a black hole of rubbish that I can never find. Think Mary Poppins’ bag – I can never find what I’m looking no matter how long I rummage as the contents are never ending!
So when I was asked about the Joan Collins Compact Duo* I had to try it. The handy compact contains both a powder and a slot for any, yes any, Joan Collins Divine Lips lipstick that fits together with a handy mirror.

The Compact Duo is so handy for a quick top up to rid any oiliness, fine lines or makeup fading throughout the day and to top up your lipstick on the go.
The elegant gold and black packaging houses a compact powder on one side, complete with a handy little sponge applicator (no need to carry a powder brush), and space for any Joan Collins Divine Lips lipstick on the other side.
The outside of the packaging is adorned with the trademark Joan Collins teardrop design of beautiful mirrored gold. The name is printed on the top of the lid when you lift it to reveal a handy mirror inside.
You will never lose your lipstick again as it will always be safe and snug in your compact. I love that the lipstick is interchangeable as you can pop any shade in there to suit your mood or outfit that day!
The powder included in the compact is the Joan Collins Meticulous Powder which:
“senses and responds to the needs of the skin. Evens tone, regulates shine. Hyaluronic Acid hydrates and fills fine lines whilst light reflecting particles help make the skin look fabulous”
I love this elegant description from the Joan Collins website, I couldn’t have put it any better myself!
The compact is available with any shade of the Divine Lips Lipstick which comes in 16 colours to choose from. I have the shade Melanie which is a pale violet.
I did a full review of the Divine Lips lipsticks here but in short the creamy texture is hydrating so lips feel softer and fuller with lasting colour.
I would say that the classy compact is suitable for someone of any age who wants a handy solution to always losing their makeup in their bag and needs to top up throughout the day.
The Compact Duo is £34 to buy which is a good price considering the lipstick on its own is £18 and the powder £22 with the added bonus of a handy and safe handbag compact. You can purchase it directly on the Joan Collins beauty website and from Marks and Spencer.
