Primark Get Lippy Matte Liquid Lipstick | Review and Swatches

We have to admit, Primark are absolutely killing it in the beauty game right now. There new releases are highly sought after and are everywhere you look on Instagram right now.

Whenever they bring out cheaper versions and dupes of beloved products they are irresistible!

They have released their own version of the matte liquid lip kits that are absolutely everywhere so I had to get one to review.

In the kit you get a liquid lipstick and the matching lip liner. I got the shade Cookie Dough which is a light brown nude colour.

The packaging is plain and simple which gives it a modern feel. The tube is matte and matches the lip colour inside with a matte black lid and black text. The lip liner is matte black with gold text and a clear lid so you can see the colour inside. Handy so you can see what you’re grabbing from your stash!

The lip liner is a creamy formula with a smooth application but gets blunt fairly quickly so you need to sharpen it often.

The lipstick applies with a standard rounded end doe foot applicator which makes it easy to control and draw inside the lip line.

The formula applies quite dry straight away, and has a bit of a dry feel to the lips but nothing too uncomfortable. A second application makes it go a tad lumpy if your lips aren’t perfectly smooth so definitely one to use a lip scrub before applying!

This doesn’t have the best lasting power I’ve seen and definitely needs re-applying after meals as you can’t get away without like you can with others I’ve tried.

You can pick this up for only £3 which makes each product £1.50 each! Such a bargain and is at least, if not more than, half the price of other drugstore lip kits.

For the cheap price I would say this is worth picking up for casual days or work as the formula is comfortable to wear and it is great packaging for shoving in your handbag as it won’t rub off.

Another bargain from Primark!

Have you tried this from Primark? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below!

  4. I almost picked one up today when I went into Primark, as they had quite afew shades in it! I’ve heard mixed reviews about the lipstick as you said, it is quite drying! But everyone raves about the lipliner, so I feel like I might have to try it out for myself haha! Love your blog by the way!! X

  5. It looks a little bit like the formula would be similar to the NYX soft matte lip creams?
