Magnitone London Bare Faced Facial Cleanse and Tone Brush Review

The Bare Faced Facial Cleanse and Tone* is an electronic facial cleansing brush from Magnitone London.

I was kindly sent one of these lovely facial brushes by Magnitone in a lovely pink parcel to give it a go for myself! I even received it in pink,  it’s like they knew!

Use of the brush promises to deep cleanse and empty pores and tone the skin. Even the box is lovely so I couldn’t wait to give it a go!

What you get

In the box you get the brush itself, one brush head, a magnetic charger and a waterproof travel carry bag which is also pink! Yay!

Setting up

Before you start you need to charge the brush for 12 hours using the nifty little magnetic charger. It’s super cool as it’s a little pebble shaped thing you plug into any USB enabled plug (I just used my iPhone charger!) and then stick the little pebble to the bottom of the brush. Perhaps it amused me more than it should have done, but there we go!

The brush head attaches really easily to the brush and comes with a clear cover to protect it when it’s not in use.

How it works

It is recommended that you use this once a day for 1 minute. It has two different pulse settings – one is a 1 minute cleanse and you choose this by pressing the button once and two is the ultra tone mode which you get by pressing the button twice.

The 1 minute cleanse is timed to automatically turn off after the 1 minute. It beeps 3 times, every 20 seconds, to remind you to change area, allowing you to cleanse your cheeks, t zone and neck.

What to do

Make sure you take your make up off first before using it, wet your face and apply your cleanser / face wash in the usual way. It does recommend that you don’t use abrasive cleansers when using the brush. I have been using it with my Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash in the mornings.

Wet the brush and press the button and off you go! I was a bit dubious when I first tried it as I thought it might be harsh on my skin but the brush is SO soft and no scrubbing is required you just gently roll the brush in small circles and let the vibrating bristles do the work!

It does warn that when you first use it you may get break outs but this is just your skin getting used to it, so I use it every other day just to be sure as my skin is quite sensitive and I did get one little break out on my nose where I never usually suffer but it lasted one day and was fine again.

When you’ve finished rinse it off and place it on it’s side to allow the water to drip off. Once dry place the cap on to protect it until the next use.

After using this for a couple of weeks my pores are much cleaner and smaller and my face feels so clean and refreshed in the morning.

I suffer from enlarged pores and I absolutely love what it’s done to them I never thought I’d see the day that I could actually get them to go any smaller!

I am so pleased with this brush and  I am very grateful to have had the chance to try it. I will definitely continue to use this.

They recommend replacing the brush heads every 3 months  and you can get a two pack for £16 which isn’t too bad. They do them in either ‘active clean’ or ‘soft and sensitive’.

You can buy the pink one for £70 here  and they also have different colours so have a browse here! It is quite pricey and maybe something I’d ask for for a birthday or christmas but it is an investment with the only ongoing expense being the replacement brush heads.

If you suffer from enlarged pores I would definitely recommend this product!

Awesome awesome! When looking into facial cleansing brushes, the magnitone version was definitely on my radar and I think it was slightly less expensive than the ever-so-popular clarisonic. Great review!
