When I first saw these in the shops I was dying to try them but thought they were a bit pricey at £6.99 each.
I nearly bought them on offer for two for £10 but forgot and then the next day they were on 3 for 2 with a free nail varnish as well, so in the end I got four varnishes (three colours and a top coat) for £13.98 so I was glad I waited in the end!
I bought a baby pink called Cardshark no.100, a purple colour called Hold Em no.460 and a coral called Pocket Aces no.130.
The coral only needed one coat on my toes and it came out very bright. The brush isn’t very good for toes and I had to redo a couple but it’s had good staying power so far and I’ve had it on a week!
The brush is much better for the fingers and went on fine. It needed two coats and took a while to dry. When I thought it was dry I put the top coat on which also took a while and I obviously didn’t leave it long enough to dry properly as it chipped slightly on the edge of a couple of nails within an hour or so and I dented a couple by going about my usual business. So I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re in a rush!
Overall I expected more from this product to be honest – it says it is long wear but it didn’t last as long as I hoped but it probably lasts longer than regular varnish.
I will only use it if I have an hour or so overall to do it properly and let it dry!
