The best drugstore contour kit? | Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Palette Review and Swatches

I have seen the Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Palette EVERYWHERE recently, so when I saw it was on offer in Boots as a free gift when you spend £9 on Rimmel I couldn’t resist getting my hands on it.

I picked it up in the shade 003 Bronze Glow because that’s all they had, the other shade that was out of stock is Coral Glow.

I’ve worn it everyday since I got it so I am primed and ready to give it a good review. Is it worth the hype?

This is the only palette I’ve seen (there may be others) that opens up long ways rather than horizontally if that makes any sense to you, it’s fairly late in the evening and I’ve had a glass of wine so my descriptive skills are not at their best!

The packaging is plastic with a black base and a clear lid, donned with rose gold stripes partitioning each section of powder. Kates signature is penned at the bottom and each powder has a little description and number.

The powders have next to no kick up and are nicely finely milled. The pigmentation is lovely as you only need one swipe for a nice subtle colour, one more for a more buildable shade. They blend out on the skin like a dream.

The packaging has numbering which I’m not sure are an indication of application order, because highlight is usually the last thing I do not the first! I usually go bronze, then blush and highlight last.

This palette has serious staying power the shades are so long lasting. It stays on all day at work with no fading and I even did a gym class with it on (don’t judge I didn’t have time to remove it before I started as I went straight after work) and it stayed glowy throughout a sweaty boot camp class!

The bronze shade is a gorgeous warm toned brown that nicely suits pale skin tones without being muddy. I imagine you can build it up if you’re more tanned. It looks slightly glittery in the pan but this doesn’t translate to the skin.

The blush is a beautiful peachy pink with a little shimmer that looks gorgeous and subtle on the skin.

The highlight is the star of the show and I mean wow, you get some serious glow from this! It’s a beautiful champagne shimmer and blends so nicely.

This is priced at £6.99 which is a bargain in itself as that’s £2.30 per shade. Currently it’s on offer at Boots as a free gift when you spend £9 on Rimmel – such a bargain as you get more for your money!

This is totally worth the hype that’s been created round this product! Its one of the only drugstore palettes I’ve found that don’t look muddy on pale skin if you put even a smidge too much on. This is a great everyday palette and it’s the perfect size to pop in your handbag should you need a top up after a long day.

This is hands down my favourite drugstore contour palette on offer at the moment!

Have you tried this? What did you think? I’d love to know your thoughts below!

I have this palette and love it! I don’t really use the blusher because I don’t like the shimmer in it! The contour and highlight are perfect though! xx

I’ve been looking for a good contour palette that isn’t a creme base for ages. They just look awful on my pale skin so I might give this a try! Thank you x

I think these would also make really nice colours on the eye! I’m half torn on whether to try this, I like the idea of them, but I tend to always just reach for my three single favourites instead of a kit! They always seem to be something that sits unused! xx

I haven’t tried this but I certainly would based on your review. To be fair, I usually like most Rimmel makeup I use. It’s one of my favourite brands.
